Overview
The first project I built for someone outside my employer – the result is publicly reachable.
Initial situation
A used car dealer needed a web presence of his own to present his vehicle offering clearly and to keep the content easy to maintain.
Problem
The vehicle offering had to be presented clearly and kept up to date without technical effort.
Goal
An independent, publicly reachable website with a clear vehicle presentation, simple content maintenance and reliable day-to-day operation.
Solution
A public website with a vehicle overview including filtering and sorting (among others by make, fuel type and price range), detail pages with an image gallery and technical data, suggestions for further vehicles, a contact page with a form, plus the legal notice and privacy policy. The layout is designed for mobile devices.
Result
A production website in daily use that supports the real business.
Business value
The vehicle offering is publicly visible, prospective buyers find vehicles through filters and detail pages, and the content can be kept current without technical effort.
My contribution
Design, technical implementation, go-live and ongoing operation of the website.
